Volksfest on the Reef

We had a fantastic day on the foreshore at Cardwell, for the “VolksFest on the Reef.” The sun was shining, and the Kombis and Beetles looked “gorgeous, darlings”, working the cameras for the fans.

Unfortunately, our Millennium Falcon[1] didn’t win any prizes. Even though she was a fan favourite with the kids, who got to ride up front and try out the comfy chairs, our Jedi[2] powers weren’t enough to steer the judges.

Cardwell is a beautiful little town, with views across to Hinchinbrook Island. Such a delicious setting. This small town has got it going on for public events. Daph and Ern will be back in Cardwell next month for the UFO festival! Ern is WELL excited.
