The guys at Esperance are fabulous. When Daph first got offered the contract, Coronavirus was going through puberty. We didn’t know then that we would have to jump through hoops to get here. The nursing agency and the hospital staff have bent over backwards to help us out.
Daph was supposed to start work on Monday, but due to the new border control laws, we now have to self-quarantine for fourteen days. The hospital has arranged a newly renovated one-bedroom unit for us to stay in while we are here. Plus, they have stocked up the fridge and will go grocery shopping for us whenever we need! They have gone above and beyond what we could ever have imagined. We are stoked.
Now, all that’s left to do is to occupy ourselves until Daph can start work. Daph doesn’t think that being locked up with her best friend for two weeks is going to be all that bad. Let’s see...
