Today we went from King Keith’s Castle to a town called Keith.
It’s all about Keith.
Crossing the South Australia border, Daph and Ern are on their way to Adelaide for a very special meet-and-greet concert tomorrow night (stay tuned).
The drive was a long one, taking us seven hours in total, broken up by pit stops at cutesy little towns and quirky photo opportunities. This is what we imagined Tasmania to be like. Ah well. Victoria brings the goods instead. We did some grocery shopping to stock up for the next three days... then had to throw half our groceries away at the quarantine station. We didn’t realise this existed, otherwise, we would’ve done our grocery shopping after we crossed the border! We stopped for lunch at a cute café, saw the Giant Koala, and then we popped into the Pinball Museum in Nhill...
Ern had almost as much fun as that time he cracked open a geode. Ern was a pinball wizard and got his name on the leaderboard. Daph... not so much. She sucked. That’s ok though. She has other talents. Like remembering all the words to “Pass the Dutchie on the Left-Hand Side” by Musical Youth, even though the last time she heard the song was in 1982 at the Northolt Middle School disco.
It’s very peaceful here at Keith. It’s still balmy at 8.00 p.m. Daph is sitting outside, enjoying the sunset and the birdsong. Ern is getting eaten alive by mosquitoes, as he does.
