Haddo

What a night!

As mentioned before, Ern has a newfound love of eighties pop music, thanks to Daph. Especially Spandau Ballet.

Since finding “Spands” (as we affectionately call them) Ern has collected the entire back catalogue on vinyl, has a signed DVD, and multiple T-shirts. And... a man-crush on Tony Hadley, the cool as a cucumber, smooth as silk, soul boy of the western world, legendary lead singer of Spandau Ballet. So, when we manifested meet-and-greet tickets to a Tony Hadley concert in Adelaide, Ern was super excited.

Tony went for the handshake, but Ern was all, “Bring it in, big boy” and went straight for the man hug. Day made. Haddo (as we affectionately call him) still has the goods, with a voice like velvet, and still able to belt out a tune or two. He put on a fabulous two-hour show, and Daph and Ern danced their hearts out.

Ern still smells of Haddo’s aftershave. Daph thinks he won’t shower for a week.
