Yesterday was Daph and Ern’s wedding anniversary. Daph had booked a cute little timber cottage in the Sunshine Coast Hinterlands for a romantic evening. The destination took us along the Glass House Mountains scenic drive. Remember, Ern loves driving up mountains... NOT!
Sign: “STEEP CLIMB AHEAD.”
Ern: “For f**ks sakes!!”
Daph tried to distract Ern from the treacherous drive that she was again responsible for...
Daph: “This town we are driving through is called Bald Knob.”
Ern: “I’ll give YOU a bald knob.”
Daph: “You ARE a bald knob.”
We stopped at the gorgeous town of Montville, which is well worth a visit if you’re in the area. Cobble-stoned streets and artisan shops tucked in every nook and cranny, with a stunning view of the Hinterlands. Just adorable. Daph made Ern buy some Canni-Calm oil from the hemp shop. Daph bought a commemorative tea towel from Fudgyboombahs, and some hippy pants.
The cottage was well worth Ern’s stress levels being elevated. We had a lovely evening snuggled under the stars in front of an open fire, listening to our wedding reception playlist. So romantic, until Daph was scared indoors by a moth the size of a pterodactyl. Good times.
Onwards to Hervey Bay, Ern has his Canni-Calm oil on his pressure points, and Daph is wearing her hippy pants. Peace out man.
