Free Accommodation!

Back to work again!

We are stopping in Mackay for six weeks to top up the bank balance. Daph has a contract at the Mater. And Ern is working his kinesiology magic at the Crystal Cauldron (quite aptly named for a wizard of his calibre).

Daph’s roster is great! Thanks to the computer system that works things out perfectly, Daph has plenty of time to explore the sights around here on days off. And Ern is already booked out for the first two weeks by word of mouth from Innisfail. His reputation precedes him.

And we get free accommodation! A studio flat with our own laundry and courtyard, and only a two-minute walk to work for Daph. We are lucky there is an abundance of public walkways and yoga classes in the area to keep on the get-fit-and-lose-weight bandwagon while we are here.

Ern is happy. He found an organic greengrocer (happy days), and a barber that doesn’t hack his beard.

And the sun is shining! Not a rain cloud in sight. Mackay is ticking boxes. Life is good.
