And we're off!

And we’re off! After months of planning, worrying, and procrastinating, Daph and Ern have hit the road. Daph didn’t need to worry about having enough room. Everything fit in just fine, with room to spare. The Kombi is a Tardis![1] Daph and Ern are out of practice with packing the Kombi up. The once well-oiled machine was rough as guts. Ern took his time and was purposely slow and methodical. Daph thought she could do everything quicker and better...

Ern: *Deep sigh.

There were last-minute jitters...

Daph: “Are you sure we’ve remembered everything?”

Ern: “Nup.”

Despite meticulously checking everything was tied off and secure before setting off, we didn’t even reach the end of the street before something fell off and went clattering down the road. Luckily, it was just a hub cap.

Half an hour in, and Daph’s navigation skills need brushing up, forgetting to tell Ern to take a left and ending up in Wyong instead of Wyee.

And Ern is already worrying about the smell of oil.
